Who we are

Combining historical and analytic approaches, we cover many central areas of philosophy, and we engage in a dialogue between contemporary philosophy and its history. You will have plenty of opportunities to start building a global philosophical network — from attending the department’s weekly colloquia with renowned guest lecturers to taking part in international conferences, workshops and summer schools on and off campus.

  • February 1, 2023 – for master's and PhD studies with CEU financial aid
  • March 15, 2023 – for self-financing master's candidates who are citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA area and require a study visa
  • August 15, 2023 – for self-financing master's candidates who are citizens of EU/EEA countries (or who hold a valid permanent residency permit in an EU/EEA country)
