Who we are
Breaking down disciplinary and geographical borders, our programs offer broad-based training in the history of Eastern, Central and Western Europe; the Eastern Mediterranean; the Middle East; and Central Asia. Guided by an international faculty from 16 countries, you will take a closer look at the Habsburg, Romanov and Ottoman Empires and their legacies, as well as the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century through the lens of religious, cultural, intellectual and social history.
